Syria’s Main International Airport Reopens after Lockdown

Damascus International Airport, Syria’s main airport, reopened yesterday with a maiden flight to Cairo, Egypt, after months of lock-down due to the preventive measures combating COVID 19 on top of the US and EU imposed sanctions.

The airport’s administration in coordination with the Country’s civil aviation and SyrianAir, the country’s flagship carrier, and under the supervision of the Health Ministry have taken all the needed steps to ensure compliance with the standards implemented worldwide.

Critics of the Syrian government’s preventive measures can focus their criticism against their own much more capable governments which invested in terrorism in Syria to cease doing so and to lift the inhumane sanctions they continue to impose on the Syrian people.
