Hundreds of meetings so far convened at the UNSC about Syria in the past 9.5 years, all of them start with the same opening: emphasizing the importance of Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and all of them are because NATO member states are concerned about the well-being of the Syrian people!
The vast majority of the UNSC meetings about Syria were called upon by the USA or one of its stooges, in all those meetings the US-led camp didn’t want to hear any argument other than theirs, their ambassadors and diplomats used to even walk out of the meetings as soon as the Syrian ambassador starts talking, and that’s how low the western diplomats working under the US instructions have reached. If ambassadors don’t listen what is left for the military?
All those in the US camp who signed on the statements of the UNSC meetings about Syria emphasizing Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity have breached Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. The USA went further with its unilateral coercive severe sanctions against the Syrian people topped up with its Caesar Act regime of sanctions against the Syrian people and any other party or country that thinks of helping the Syrians, under the guise of helping the Syrian people! The European Union renewed their sanctions against the Syrian people last June also under the guise of helping the Syrian people…!
If there’s any sheer hypocrisy to be taught look no further to the western diplomats at the UNSC in the case of Syria.
The Syrian ambassador Dr. Bashar Jaafari called yet again to lift the western sanctions against the Syrian people and to actually adhere to the United Nations’ own charter, Syria is an establishing member of the UN, and to respect international law by stopping their negative interference in the country’s internal affairs by investing in terrorist groups, it fell on the deaf ears of the western hypocrites.
