There is a new system update released for the HTC One X Smartphone which upgrades the Software of the mobile device to version 1.29.401.11. At the moment, this new system update for the HTC One X is only published for mobile devices without carrier branding. This update for the One X from HTC is shipped by OTA (Over-the-Air).

Until now, there is no official change log and thus nobody really knows what changes with the update to version 1.29.401.11. According to first reports about the update, the flickering of the screen could be really history now. A lot of users who have already bought the HTC One X will be happy if this new system update resolves the problem with the flickering of the screen.

Other changes which were noticed by users of the HTC One X after the upgrade to system version 1.29.401.11:

HBOOT is updated to Version 0.95

RADIO is updated to Version 1.1204.105.14

Kernel is updated to Version 2.6.39.4-gc9932b1

Flickering resolved but lasts till this can be noticed (it configures itself after update, which lasts a bit)

SD Card Bug resolved (shows real space now, no empty space information)

Wi-Fi Bugs fixed

Battery indicator or even the calibration has been changed with this update by HTC

As stated, this system update by HTC for the new Smartphone One X is delivered by OTA (Over-the-Air), but there is also the possibility to download this system update from the servers of HTC. This is a method for customers who know what they do. All others should wait till the HTC One X informs them about a new OTA update for their smartphone.

This update is, as usually, distributed in several steps, so some should just practice in patience till the HTC One X shows a notice that there is a new update available.
